Product CategoryThe G protein family of signal transducers includes 5 heterotrimers, which are most clearly distinguished by their different alpha chains; they have virtually identical beta chains and similar gamma chains. G protein alpha inhibitor chains 1 and 2 are subunits of the G(i) G protein, whose role is in inhibiting adenylate cyclase activity in response to bound GTP.
Inhibits TP53/p53- and TP73/p73-mediated cell cyclearrest and apoptosis by binding its transcriptional activation domain. Functions as a ubiquitin ligase E3, in the presence of E1 and E2, toward p53 and itself. Permits the nuclear export of p53 and targets it for proteasome-mediated proteolysis. Binds p53, p73, ARF(P14), ribosomal protein L5 and specifically to RNA. Can interact also with retinoblastoma protein(RB), E1A-associated protein EP300 and the E2F1 transcription factor. Forms a
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the syndecan proteoglycan family. It may play a role in the organization of cell shape by affecting the actin cytoskeleton, possibly by transferring signals from the cell surface in a sugar-dependent mechanism. Allelic variants of this gene have been associated with obesity. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009].
This gene encodes one member of a family of immunoglobulin Fc receptor genes found on the surface of many immune response cells. The protein encoded by this gene is a cell surface receptor found on phagocytic cells such as macrophages and neutrophils, and is involved in the process of phagocytosis and clearing of immune complexes. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2008]
Structural proteins in Arabidopsis provide cellular stability, facilitate protein transportation within the cell and are essential for cell growth. Three types of molecular motors are involved in the organization, dynamics and transport processes associated with the cytoskeleton (1). They include myosin, which transports cargo along actin filaments, and kinesin and dynein, which transport cargo along microtubules (1,2). These proteins regulate many cellular functions, including cell divisio
